Surplus Advisors and Intellimarket™ Systems use the Private
Exchange Program to maximize return for Manufacturers whose
products are just past their peak
Overview
The Private Exchange Program is available for the first time to manufacturers through our strategic partnership with
Intellimarket™ Systems.
The Private Exchange Program creates a market where distributors and retailers (and any other invited participants) bid in a
private auction market for the manufacturer's goods. Intellimarket™ Systems' proprietary software is far more sophisticated
than the cyberspace "swapmeet" auctions, with which we are all familiar. Based on the research of Dr. Charles Plott, Edward
Harkness Professor of Economics and Political Science at California Institute of Technology, Intellimarket™ Systems applies
proven economic and market theory to the real world, with rules and protocol that overcome the deficiencies inherent in
other trading systems. The result is an exchange system that benefits both buyers and sellers, and as a result, optimizes market
value and the return to the seller.
By creating an exchange mechanism where each potential purchaser can log on and bid for lots individually or in combination
and when all lots do not close until all bidding is finished, profit will maximize each lots value and also increase the sell-
through rate for the manufacturer.

Target Users:
This solution is excellent for larger manufacturers looking to maximize return on items just out of the peak in the product life-
cycle. Often these manufacturers rely on salespeople to manually contact accounts to move this inventory. By creating an
electronic marketplace, the inherent deficiencies in the present system are avoided, resulting in maximum price and increased
sell-through.
